abstract. The MSI SuperDARN radar project is a collaboration between Virginia Tech, the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Dartmouth College and the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory that is funded by the US National Science Foundation's Mid-Size Infrastructure (MSI) Opportunity. The project has reached its midway point with two radar facilities completed in Hays, Kansas and Christmas Valley, Oregon. Each facility hosts a pair of SuperDARN radars that use the twin-terminated folded dipole antennas and a versatile systems that can be operated in either an analog or fully digital mode. Construction of the radars was accomplished with help from members of each of the four participating institutions.

The current status and details of significant repairs will be given for the Kansas and Oregon radars as well as an update on the status of the next pair of radars to be sited in the Aleutian Islands.
